Since 1955

FirstLight Federal Credit Union began with a bold vision and a deep commitment to service. In 1955, nine pioneers came together to create a financial cooperative that would support military and civilian personnel at Biggs Air Force Base in El Paso, Texas. Originally chartered as Frontier Federal Credit Union, we merged with Fort Bliss Federal Credit Union and evolved through the decades—becoming Air Defense Center Federal Credit Union, then Fort Bliss Federal Credit Union, and finally, in 2005, FirstLight Federal Credit Union.

Today, we proudly serve the communities of El Paso and Doña Ana County, continuing our mission to support those who serve and protect.

Join Us at the Sun Bowl!

We’re thrilled to announce that FirstLight will be part of the iconic Sun Bowl Thanksgiving Parade—El Paso’s longest-running and most attended community event, drawing over 250,000 spectators each year.

This cherished tradition brings together families, friends, and organizations to celebrate the spirit of our region.

The theme for our float will be “Celebrate, Honor & Remembering All The Heroes Who Have Served”—a tribute to the brave individuals who make our community strong.
